Diana Zubiri

Screen goddess Diana Zubiri was born Rosemarie Joy Garcia on April 15, 1985 in Bulacan. Her father left mother when they were staying in Olongapo City, and Diana and her siblings was raised single-handedly by their mom. They later moved to Quezon City, where Diana would spend her teenage years.

The dusky beauty was first discovered by Seiko Films when she was 15. At that time, Diana was applying for work as an entertainer in Japan. She started her showbiz career doing sexy roles on several films, which include Itlog, Bakat and Kasiping. It was in 2002 that Diana became one of the most popular sexy stars in the business. During a photoshoot for FHM Philippines, Diana was made to pose in the EDSA-Shaw flyover in Mandaluyong City wearing only a skimpy bikini. The incident sparked a big controversy, which resulted to the city’s mayor filing charges against the actress and the publication. The charges were later dropped after Diana apologized for the incident.

In 2005, Diana focused less on sexy roles and more on wholesome TV roles. She was given a role in the hit fantasy series Encantadia, and became a regular cast in Bubble Gang. Diana also starred in drama shows such as Babangon Ako’t Dudurugin Kita and Gaano Kadalas ang Minsan?

In 2007, Diana was again cast in another primetime show, Asian Treasures, which stars Robin Padilla and Angel Locsin.

The FHM incident solidified Diana’s status as one of the country’s most desirable women. Since 2002, she was consistently included in FHM’s list of 100 Sexiest Women in the World, and has been on the top ten until 2008. Her exotic looks and voluptuous body gained the attention of international publications as well, and she appeared in the Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore editions of FHM.

Diana currently stars in the film One Night Only with Katrina Halili, Valerie Concepcion and Alessandra De Rossi.
