Childbirth terrifies Beyonce

Hard to believe it, but this Independent Woman is actually afraid of childbirth.

Beyonce Knowles recently revealed to Elle magazine that bearing kids is her one big fear. The R&B superstar said that watching her nephew being born has traumatized her. The interview, which came out on the magazine's January issue in which has Beyonce on the cover, also revealed other fascinating info about the 27-year old, most notably her marriage with hip-hop mogul Jay-Z.

The singer has recently released her latest album, I am…Sasha Fierce. Sasha Fierce is the name of her foxier and bolder alter ago, who Beyonce says takes over her personality during those stage moments where she has to be more fierce, more aggressive and more sensual.

On her marriage to Jay-Z: It's a power struggle. But if I didn't respect someone and they didn't have that strength, then I would be bored. I wouldn't be attracted to them.”

On having children: I'm terrified of having a child.  “No way! I'm terrified of delivering a child because I saw my nephew being born. That traumatized me. I'm only 27. I've got time”

On the effect of her Etta James role in the film “Cadillac Records,” on her personal life: “My mom had to leave the set. I don't normally curse. Maybe twice a year. I have to be really livid. Somebody saying things or scheduling something where I'm not in control. It was freeing, but it was also the most emotionally draining time of my life. Every day I would come home; my eyes would be completely swollen”
