Pia Guanio

TV host and actress Pia Guanio is a deadly combination of beauty and smarts. Born Liana Pia Coronado Guanio on October 24, 1973, Pia first became known among radio audiences as a traffic angel for Caltex Roadwatch in 1999, giving traffic advice to motorists around the metro. Soon, audiences were able to see the face behind the cute voice when Pia became a live traffic reporter for the ABS-CBN morning show Magandang Umaga Bayan in 2002. Reporting traffic conditions while aboard a helicopter, Pia was indeed a refreshing sight to see in the morning.

It was not surprising that with her good looks and intelligence, Pia’s career will go beyond traffic reporting. She went on to become a host in the game show Digital LG Quiz and became one of the casts of the long-running noontime show Eat Bulaga! Her sophisticated style and flair for showbiz reporting earned her hosting jobs in several of GMA-7’s news and gossip shows, including the weekly Showbiz Central (formerly S Files) and the daily 24 Oras.

Pia was also given acting roles in movies like Dobol Trobol and Enteng Kabisote 3. She is currently an endorser for several big-name brands such as Alaska Milk, Enervon C, Nescafe and Tokyo Fashions.

The gorgeous Pia is currently engaged to veteran actor and comedian Vic Sotto.
