Polo Ravales

The sexy Polo Ravales, whose full name is Paul Patrick Rodil Gruenberg, was born on June 27, 1982. The half-German Polo started out as one of the second batch of cast members of the popular youth-oriented program TGIS. He and his fellow cast members Dingdong Dantes, Sunshine Dizon, Antoinette Taus and Kim de los Santos became one of the most popular teen idols in the industry. For Polo, TGIS was followed by roles in Anna Karenina, Click and Hanggang Kailan, among others.

It was in the hit fantasy series Encantadia that Polo got his first big role. His successful portrayal of Hitano earned him a role in another telefantasya series Majika, which stars Angel Locsin and Dennis Trillo. It was in Majika that audience first glimpsed the strong and manly Polo, which very different from his former teeny-bopper roles.

Polo also starred in several hit movies, including Blue Moon and Super Noypi.

His transformation from a cute teenage actor to a sexy, smoldering star earned Polo more commercial endorsements from several big-name brands. From the start of his modeling career, Polo snagged modeling stints for clothing lines Folded and Hung and Bench, Coca-Cola, Ginebra, and Colgate. He was included on the Hottest Bachelor List of Cosmopolitan Philippines in 2006 and 2008.

<>2008 was a good year for the actor. He replaced Patrick Garcia for a plum role in Sine Novela: Maging Akin Ka Lamang, a role originally played by veteran actor Christopher De Leon. This project was soon followed by another big role in Gagambino, which stars Dennis Trillo.

Polo also earned a reputation as a ladies man. He had relationships with actresses Sunshine Dizon, Alessandra de Rossi, Ara Mina, Jean Garcia and beauty queen Maria Paula Bianca Paz.

Aside from acting and modeling, Polo also got into the restaurant business. He is one of the owners of the bar and resto Stoodio Bar.
