KC Concepcion

Maria Kristina Cassandra Concepcion is indeed one of the luckiest girls in show business. She has everything: beauty, brains and showbiz lineage. She was born on April 7, 1985, the lovely offspring of actors Gabby Concepcion and the megastar Sharon Cuneta, one of the most famous couples in Philippine showbiz. Even after Gabby and Sharon’s famous separation during her childhood, the young KC, even as a baby, was always in the media’s consciousness. When Sharon married Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan years later, she was legally adopted by the senator.

Sharon made sure that her daughter will grow up to be a refined young lady. Instead of making her enter local showbiz at a very early stage, KC was made to finish her education first. In 2003, she studied at the American University of Paris, and graduated in 2007 with a degree in International Corporate Communications. During this time, she was already appearing in local Broadway musicals, television shows and had gotten several major endorsements. She also became a VJ in MTV Asia.

Her acting talent was first tested when she appeared on an episode of Maalala Mo Kaya, where she was cast on a dramatic role. Critics gave her fairly positive reviews for her performance.

She officially entered the movies in 2008, when she starred opposite Richard Gutierrez in For the First Time. She is also scheduled to star again with Richard in another movie in 2009.

Currently, KC is one of the most sought-after young stars in the country. She is the spokesperson for the clothing line Bayo, and has released her own music album. KC is also the cover girl for the December 2008 issue of Cosmopolitan magazine.

KC Concepcion’s Lovelife

KC has always been discreet about her lovelife, and so far has no showbiz relationships that the press knows of. She was once linked to former Rivermaya frontman Rico Blanco and to her co-star Richard Gutierrez.
