One of the most beautiful women in Philippine showbiz today, Anne Curtis was born Anne Ojales Curtis Smith on February 17, 1985 in Australia. Raised by a Filipina mother and an Australian father, Anne lived in the land down under until her father moved to the Philippines when she was 12. During the early part of her career, Anne appeared in commercials and supporting roles mostly under GMA-7.
She received her first real break when she moved to rival network ABS-CBN, when she was given a role in the TV series Hiram, where she starred with Heart Evangelista. Her role was a deviation from her teeny-bopper image, and this made her ready for primetime. In 2005, she was given her first leading role in TV courtesy of the show Kampanerang Kuba, an adaptation of the Vilma Santos film. Her status in primetime was further solidified when she was cast in the hit series Maging Sino Ka Man, where she starred with Pinoy Big Brother’s Sam Milby.
In 2007, Anne expanded her repertoire and became one of MTV’s VJs on the show Gimme 10. At present, she has a starring role in the fantasy series Dyosa, where she plays a goddess. Her latest movie, Baler, opposite Jericho Rosales, will be shown in December 2008.

Anne has become famous for her very public love life, and had a string of showbiz boyfriends including Oyo Boy Sotto and Richard Gutierrez. A “scandal tape” leaked on the Internet several years ago which showed her and Richard kissing hotly while lying in bed. Anne neither admitted nor denied that she was the girl in the video.
Her alleged relationship with Sam Milby is reportedly on the rocks, as of press time. With her beautiful name matched to an equally beautiful face. It’s easy to predict the rise of Anne Curtis as one of the celebrities who will eventually make it big in Philippine showbiz.
Actress Anne Curtis is taking a one-month break from show business to fulfill one of her dreams – to tour Europe.
Curtis told “SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon” that she is going on a vacation with her non-showbiz friends.
“I will be leaving in May and I won’t be back till June. I will go to Europe. I’m going to Spain, Italy and France. Pure vacation lang siya,” Curtis said.
The young actress said she began planning for the Europe trip since last year. She wanted to go to different places and learn different cultures, she added.
“It adds to experience in life din. It’s something na I wanna do for myself,” she shared.
The 2008 Metro Manila Film Festival best actress said she is not discounting the possibility of finding her new love while touring the romantic places in Europe.
“Naku, you will never know. Who knows?” Curtis said.
As of the moment though, the “Dyosa” star maintained that her friends “are enough for me.”
Curtis used to date hunk actor Sam Milby but they stopped seeing each other as the latter reportedly wanted to strengthen his relationship with God. annecurtis.org
