Lovi Poe
Being the daughter of the King of Philippine movies may have helped Lovi Poe establish a career in showbiz, but the young actress and singer’s good looks and talent would have made it on their own without the reference to her famous father. Born Lourdes Virginia Moran Poe on February 11, 1989, she is the offspring of legendary actor Fernando Poe, Jr. Lovi started her showbiz career as a talent of GMA Network, when she starred in the show Love to Love in 2006. Her biggest break came when she was given cast as Kristal in the hit primetime series, Bakekang, which stars Sunshine Dizon.
After Bakekang, Lovi starred in another primetime show, Zaido: Pulis Pangkalawahan. In 2008, the young actress was given a prime role in the daytime drama, Sine Novela: Kaputol ng Isang Awit. During the same year, Lovi won the trophy for New Movie Actress of the Year at the 24th PMPC Star Awards for Movies for her role in the horror flick Shake, Rattle and Roll 9.
The busy actress continued her schooling despite her grueling work schedule. She finished high school at the Colegio San Agustin and is currently studying for a Psychology degree at Miriam College.
Lovie already came out with two studio albums, Bloom and The Best of My Heart.
