How to Hydrate Your Body
Drinking water is one of the simplest but most effective beauty and health secrets there is. Aside from getting lots of sleep, consuming at least eight glasses of water a day will keep the body dehydrated and energized. Water intake should be increased during workouts because your body loses more water during intense physical exertion. Check out the following tips on staying dehydrated during your workouts.
- Include water as part of your wake-up routine
After you wake up and finished your bathroom business, drink a glass of water. This will help replenish all the water that your body consumed during your long hours of sleep.
- Substitute water for other drinks
Water is still the best drink compared to coffee, sodas and juices, especially those with high sugar and calorie content. Opt for mineral water instead when you want something cool and refreshing to drink.
- Drink water before a meal
Usually, we feel hunger pangs just a couple of hours after we’ve just had a heavy meal. Sometimes, you’re not actually hungry; your body’s thirst can be mistaken for hunger. So drink at least half a glass first before deciding if you’re really hungry.
