The White Hat and Reema Chanco work together for CHARITY
On September 27, 2008 (Saturday), customers who visit THE WHITE HAT at the MALL OF ASIA will get a Triple Treat. First, upon their purchase, they get to enjoy a cup of super delicious and healthy Italian frozen yogurt. Second, they will be personally served by celebrity-host, NIKE athlete, and animal advocate REEMA CHANCO. And Third, their purchase will help support the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS).
This is the second charity event hosted by THE WHITE HAT as part of its social responsibility program called CELEBRITY-FOR-CHARITY.
“Our company cares very much about our customers. We make sure that we serve the best –tasting yogurt from Italy made from fresh milk in a clean hygienic environment. Our yogurt is guaranteed to have live active yogurt cultures (called Probiotics) which promote health. We also give our customers a selection of more than 21 healthy premium toppings. And then, we try to give back to the community by inviting celebrities who volunteer to wear our uniform and serve customers, for which we donate 50% of the day's proceeds to their favourite charity. It's great fun for the celebrity & fun for our loyal customers. It's a great feeling to know that you are helping others at the same time. Plus, I love this event because I'm also a dog-lover, having 3 dogs at home” said Eric Chao, marketing manager of THE WHITE HAT.
Reema Chanco is a familiar face on TV. Not only is she a NIKE athlete, she recently hosted the Beijing Olympics coverage on Solar Sports and is one of the hosts of 3R, a popular women empowerment program on TV5. Active in sports and passionate about animals, REEMA and her two dogs, Sasha & Sophie, have been supporting PAWS for several years already.
The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) was founded in 1954 and have already made great strides in pursuance of their mission to prevent suffering in animals and to promote a society based on humane principles. The PAWS Animal Rehabilitation Center (PARC) houses over 100 dogs and cats rescued from cruelty and neglect. The facility is solely dependent on donations and fund-raising activities such as this to keep it running.
