Chris Tiu
Not only is Chris Tiu a college basketball star, he is also a TV host, commercial model, a barangay councilor and a very accomplished student. This Filipino-Chinese cutie was born July 15, 1985 and studied at Xavier School during his elementary and high school years. He enrolled at the Ateneo de Manila University and graduated cum laude with a Management Engineering degree in 2007. It was an incredible accomplishment considering he was playing for the Ateneo Blue Eagles during that time, and helped win the championship during his last year for the team.
Not only that, but he also took a second major course, Applied Mathematics.
On December 2007, the multi-talented Chris became a co-host of Manny Pacquiao for the show Pinoy Records, which airs every Saturday. A year after, he became host of Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Never the one to rest on his laurels, Chris is currently one of the barangay councilors of Barangay Urdaneta in Makati.
His good looks and wholesome appeal landed him numerous product endorsements, including Nesvita, where he appeared in a TV commercial along with fellow hunks Derek Ramsay and Will Devon. He is also an endorser for Milo. Chris joined the Milo BEST Basketball Clinic when he was seven.
Chris was recently named Favorite Athlete at the 2008 Nickelodeon Philippines Kids’ Choice Award.
Despite all his success, and at such a young age at that, Chris remains humble and grounded. The star credited his success to his family, especially the way his parents raised him and his siblings.
