Angelica Panganiban

Known for possessing the deadly combination of an angelic face and a body made for sin, Angelica Panganiban rose from being a child actress to one of the hottest young stars today. Born on November 4, 1986, she grew up without father, and was raised single-handedly by her mother.

She started her career at a tender age of six, when she was cast in the popular afternoon show Ang TV. She later became a member of Star Magic, ABS-CBN’s group of homegrown talents.

Her charm and beauty made her popular in high school. She was named the Miss Junior and Senior Prom Princess in 2002 before she graduated from St. Vincent in 2003. She initially pursued a Mass Communications degree at Thames International Business School, but she had to quit due to her hectic work schedule.

After Ang TV, Angelica got into more TV shows, including Familia Zaragoza (1995), G-Mik: The New Generation (1999), Berks (2002), Tanging Ina (2003) and Mangarap Ka (2004). As a child/teen actress, she also got into a lot of movies, including Separada (1995), Sarah, Ang Munting Prinsesa (1995), Magandang Hatinggabi (1998) and Jologs (2002).

Her first adult role was in 2004’s Santa Santita, in which she co-starred with Jericho Rosales. She got a FAMAS award as Best Actress for her role as the good girl gone bad.

The movie also established Angelica’s reputation as a sexy young actress. Soon, she was on the cover of leading men’s magazines in the country, as well as on calendars. She first got included in FHM Philippines’ 100 Sexiest Women list in 2005, and has been on the list ever since. Shedding her child actress image at last, Angelica got into adult roles including 2007’s Love Story, in which she starred in a love triangle with Maricel Soriano and Aga Muhlach.

Angelica’s beautiful body has always been the subject of speculation. A couple of years ago, pictures of her supposedly “unretouched” body floated around the Internet. It was taken during fittings for her calendar shoot, and the pictures showed Angelica with a less flattering body which is very different from the perfect body that came out of the calendar’s final print.

The actress is currently in a relationship with model and actor Derek Ramsay.
