TACLOBAN CITY, Philippines–The city health office here has renewed calls for vigilance against a possible rise of dengue fever cases in the city as a five-year old boy died of the disease last week.

The death of the five-year old boy, a doctor’s son, brought the number of fatalities due to dengue to three in the city for 2008, Tacloban City sentinel nurse Mel Tirso Maravilles said.
