Hoping to impress his boss, he accepts a challenging assignment about The Bermuda Triangle that takes him on a dangerous seafaring adventure. After a tumultuous trip across seas and oceans, he finds himself washed up on the shores of Lilliput where he is enslaved by its tiny inhabitants. Rob Letterman directs this richly imaginative movie that also features Jason Segel, Emily Blunt and Billy Connolly.
“ The Darkest Hour” is set to delight 3d buffs as it brings the experience anew into the thrilling realm of sci-fi adventure. The movie centers on five people in Moscow who find themselves stranded and fighting to survive in the wake of a devastating alien attack. The movie stars Emile Hirsch, Rachael Taylor and Olivia Thirlby directed by Chris Gorak and produced by Timur Bekmambetov (“ Wanted”).
Blue Sky Studios, the makers of “ Ice Age” flies higher in its latest animation comedy “ Rio.” Starring the voices of Neil Patrick Harris, Anne Hathaway, Rodrigo Santoro, George Lopez and Jake T. Austin, “ Rio” centers on Blu, a rare macaw who thinks he is the last of his kind. When Blu discovers there’s another — and that she’s a she — he leaves the comforts of his cage in small town Minnesota and heads to Rio de Janeiro. But it’s far from love at first sight between the domesticated and flight-challenged Blu and the fiercely independent, high-flying female, Jewel. Unexpectedly thrown together, they embark on an adventure of a lifetime, where they learn about friendship, love, courage, and being open to life’s many wonders.
